Our 3 Hale Akua Maui Farm Tours and Classes on regenerative agriculture and closed-loop farming are designed for people of all backgrounds and levels of knowledge about organic farming. If you choose to participate, you will be guided around Hale Akua’s beautiful jungle farm. You will have the opportunity to learn about all the wonderful organic ways we raise animals, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. You will also get to see and taste what’s currently growing in season. You will have the opportunity to learn and ask about our methods of composting, growing mushrooms, raising black soldier fly larvae, and managing fish and food forests. You will also grow to understand how growing trees sequesters carbon and increases food security! Meet & spend time with our farmers, ducks, chickens, bees, and fish, and learn briefly about how you can raise them yourself in your own backyard.
Walk through our beautiful farm and experience different fruit trees and native plants.
Learn about permaculture, aquaponics, black soldier flies, mushrooms, microgreens, & brief history of the land.
Feed our farm animals including Nigerian dwarf goats, muscovy ducks, and chickens.
Eat seasonal exotic Hawaiian tropical fruits including starfruit, bananas, papayas and more...
